VIEW DESCRIPTION

Luftwaffe Jagdgeschwader 52 proposal for promotion to Leutnant of Fahnenjunker-Feldwebel Herbert Bachnick. Dated "28.2.1944". 55 aerial victories on the Eastern Front until February 1944. Signed by Oberstleutnant Dieter Hrabak (Knight's Cross with Oak Leaves winner). A4-format. Two holes.

Lt. Bachnick achieved 80 aerial victories over the course of 373 sorties. Luftwaffe Honor Goblet on 13.12.1943, German Cross in Gold on 5.2.1944, and Knight's Cross on 27. July 1944. Killed in action on 7.8.1944 near Olesnow, Poland.
