Description

Medal and document grouping to SS-Obersturmführer Walter Tank who served with SS-Gebirgsjäger-Regiment 11 "Reinhard Heydrich". Tank was very well awarded. His Soldbuch list following awards:

Iron Cross 2nd Class, Infantry Assault Badge in bronze, Wound Badge in black, Iron Cross 1st Class, Clsoe Combat Clasp in bronze.
One page confirms two close combat days in September 1944.

The Soldbuch is a second issue one issued on 15.1.1945 without a photograph. There are a few late 1945 dated entries inside. The condition is good but one clip is loose. Nothing has been denazified.

There is an extra document confirming his original Soldbuch was burned. It is dated 22.11.1944.

Period time wound tag with his name and unit on. Three photos.
Postwar documents telling you more about his ranks, promotions and service time.

All his medals were denazified. A Juncker made Close Combat Clasp in bronze, a "6." maker marked Iron Cross 1st Class, a hollow zinc Infantry Assault Badge in bronze, a Wound Badge in black with missing pin and a 4 place ribbon bar with a blue ribbon for a SS Long Service Award. A 1956 lapel pin.
