Grouping of a Gebirgsjäger Oberst named "Bachmaier".
The grouping consists of three albums with a total of 265 photos and 26 postcards. These show his service with the Gebirgsjäger troops in Norway. Nice shots of General der Gebirgstruppe Valentin Feurstein (Knight's Cross winner) and a hand-signed portrait photo of Generalleutnant Bruno Ortner (German Cross in Gold winner and commander of the 44. Reichsgrenadier-Division Hoch- und Deutschmeister). There are also photos of an HJ member and a Luftwaffe Flak member. Probably photos of his son(s). Additionally 40 photos (loose). Among them is an excellent large-size portrait photo of the Oberst.
Very rare "Tigerverband" honor plaque. Made of zinc cast. It shows a tiger head with crossed swords, dated "Bergen 1940". Mounted on a wooden board. A small wooden plaque has also been added to the top, showing a picture of an eagle. The plaque was issued by the Kriegsmarine Küstensicherungsverband Norwegen under the leadership of Kapitänleutnant Hans Bartels.
