Description

A letter sent from Ministerialdirektor Dr. Ernst Vollert. Hand-signed. Ink. Dated "31. May 1937".

Ernst Vollert was involed in the assassination attempt on Adolf Hilter on 20. July 1944 by Stauffenberg Three days after the assassination attempt, he was arrested by the Gestapo in Prague. However, with the help of the Reichsminister of the Interior Wilhelm Frick, he was released. Dr. Vollert survived the war! A very rare signature of an "unknown" man who was part of the German resistance.

Slight signs of use. Double-sided.

(Ministerialdirektor = Undersecretary)
