Awarded to Franz Bartl from Vienna. He was a member of the German handball team that won the silver medal at the 1936 Olympics in Berlin. The pin was presented to him in Berlin on Hitler's birthday on 20. April 1938. On the occasion of his birthday, the team played three matches. Unfortunately, Franz Hartl was killed in action during the war.
The pin is made from genuine silver. "800" silver hallmarked on the back. Maker marked. It was awarded only 63 times. Extremely rare to find!
