VIEW DESCRIPTION

Document grouping to Revier-Oberwachtmeister of the Schutzpolizei Robert Wilhelm Reith serving with estn. Schutzmannschaft-Front-Bataillon 38 (Estonian Auxiliary Police). So-called "Schuma".

The lot consists of documents and award certificates. The 1939 War Merit Cross 2nd Class with Swords was awarded to him for fighting against partisans. Among them is the proposal for the award and the combat mission against partisans is mentioned: "... im Kampfe gegen Banden...". Stamped "Der SS- u. Polizeiführer Eastland - Kommandeur der Ordnungspolizei". Dated 25.11.1942".
