Wehrmacht bayonet 84/98 - 1938

Description

This Bayonet features blued metal fittings overall, with double Waffen Amt 253) stamped pommel with working external release button also Waffenamt stamped, with screw in bakelite grips and metal guard & muzzle slot. The 25.5 cm long blade shows the ‘blood groove’ to each side of the blade, with very little evidence of sharpening, good spear point, with blade being in generally very good condition overall with much of the original blued finish. Ricasso stamped 3359 b & E. u. F. Hörster as well as date 38 (1938) to spine. Standard metal scabbard with most of the protective blue brown finish, with matching numbers. Minor rust on scabbard.

Comes with seemingly unmarked frog in very good condition.
