Description

Heer four-pocket service tunic, a so-called ornamented field tunic (Geschmückte Feldbluse). It is designed with four pockets and cuffs like a normal officer's field tunic but comes with piping around the collar, the cuffs and along the vertical button line. This type of tunic is considered to be rather rare.

Branch: Infanterie (Infantry).
Breast eagle: Hand-embroidered officer's type. Attached by hand.
Shoulder boards: White base. Major rank. Sewn-in type. No damage.
Collar tabs: White base. Officer's type. Period time attached by machine.
Collar: Dark green.
Buttons: Complete and period time attached.
Lining: Silk. Period time attached tailor's tag for Albert Bopp. The wearer's tag is also present.

The tunic has an Adjutant's aiguillette mounted on the right shoulder and on set of award loops on the left pocket. There are several small moth holes, especially on the arms and back area.
