Late war Sturmgeschütz wrapper for an Oberleutnant. Privately purchased fine quality wrapper with machine-attached tailor's tag "Harnasch Magdeburg". Personal name tag machine-attached to the inner breast pocket. "3.5.44" dated. Named to "Ltnt. Lehnung".
Silk lining. Typical late war quality. Original attached buttons. One catch and loop was added (just above the top button) to the outside to allow a more elegant look. Three pair of loops for awards as well as a machine-stiched hole for an 1939 Iron Cross 1st Class with screw back. Hand-attached Iron Cross 2nd Class ribbon.
We believe the insignia are period time attached. The collar tabs are attached very sloppy by hand. Every collector or dealer would have attached them better. The breast eagle was attached by hand as well. The thread of the eagle attachment is exactly the same as of the collar tabs.
