Description
WW1 veteran Hermann Gießler served as a train driver during the Russian Campaign Bahnbetriebswerk Witebsk (near Minsk). He was injured on 12.8.42 during a Partisan attack and shot in the arm. Part of the grouping are several papers documenting the conversation between Giessler and his Reichsbahn health insurance.
 
Certificate to the East Medal. A rare field issued example issued by "Haupteisenbahndirektion Misk". "Haupteisenbahndirektion Mitte" stamped. 30.11.1943 issued at Minsk. Certificate to the War Merit Cross 2nd Class. 1943 dated. Führerhauptquartier issued and facsimile signed by Keitel. Certificate to the Wound Badge in black. Issued to Hermann Gießler as a "Lokführer" (train driver) serving with Bahnbetriebswerk Witebsk (near Minsk). August 1942 issued.
 
A early 1935 dated about his discharge (!) of the SA. Several ID cards as well as wartime and postwar documents. A nice postcard drawer by Gießler on 28.9.15.
