Description
This lot was part of a huge grouping consigned by the family of former NSDAP Abschnittsleiter Leander Berger in April 2015. The family is still based in Austria today. Leander Berger was a high ranking NSDAP and DAF leader during the Third Reich and was punished after the war. Leander was one of the first Nazis in Austria in the early 1930s when the Party was still banned there. His NSDAP membership number was 83.215. Berger escaped to Germany and served as Gauhauptstellenwalter der DAF (Gau Thüringen) from 1934 until 1939 before he returned to Austria serving as Gaustellenleiter der NSDAP in Kärnten. He was promoted to a Reichseinsatzredner der RPL by Dr. Goebbels in 1944.

Large personal document lot to Leander Berger. Several folders.

Personal period time as well as postwar documents and letters. Many period time NAZI newspapers and parts of magazines which must have been of interest for me. They might be also about him or his unit.

There are two "Ahnen-Tafel" folder  which are full of birth, wedding, death documents the family needed to get their Arian papers. There is one more folder only with Arian documents of Leander Berger. Furthermore a very big folder with papers and documents about Leander Berger and his ancestors. If you study them you will find out his parents were not married and he was not "planned" at all. Intern DAF "Kärnten" magazines.

One folder contains postwar documents about him trying to get around his punishment which has been handed out to him. There are also document on his WW1 service time with Schützen-Regiment Nr. 3 against Italy and Rumania.

Hundreds of documents to a high ranking NSDAP leader which provide a lot of room for additional research. There are many additional documents and papers we can not show on the pictures.
