Description
This lot was part of a huge grouping consigned by the family of former NSDAP Abschnittsleiter Leander Berger in April 2015. The family is still based in Austria today. Leander Berger was a high ranking NSDAP and DAF leader during the Third Reich and was punished after the war. Leander was one of the first Nazis in Austria in the early 1930s when the Party was still banned there. His NSDAP membership number was 83.215. Berger escaped to Germany and served as Gauhauptstellenwalter der DAF (Gau Thüringen) from 1934 until 1939 before he returned to Austria serving as Gaustellenleiter der NSDAP in Kärnten. He was promoted to a Reichseinsatzredner der RPL by Dr. Goebbels in 1944.

Personal postcard album of Leander Berger including 38 original cards.

It starts with a card of Hitler in leather trousers. The second one is a great photograph taken in front of the BRAUNES HAUS in Munich. Stamped to the back. The SA Mann wears a large swastika buckle.

We have looked behind all cards which is why we have taken them out. Nearly all are addressed to Berger and very early. Many if not most have a political background and say Heil Hitler etc... to the reverse.

The album itself was used a lot. Condition 3. But all cards are in nice condition 2.
