Beschreibung
Grouping to German Cross in gold recipient Leutnant Harry Glück serving with 1. Schwadron/Schnelle-Abteilung 206. Day of the awarding: 24.3.1943
 
Officially presented photo album named to Glück. Issued by the NSDAP Ortsgruppe Langemark, Kreis Elbing. Nice printed pictures inside included full color ones. Pictures of medals and awards. Inside a handwritten list of killed comrades including newspaper death notices of his killed Abteilungskommandeur Oskar Priese.
 
Furthermore original handwritten lists with all service details. Glück planted to write them inside but never did. He states he first served with 3./Inf.Rgt.301 from August 1939, quickly was promoted to a Zugführer, served as "Führer des Jagdkommandos 206" etc... There is also a list of all his battles and a lot more.  Another paper lists all medals, promotions and injuries. He was awarded the German Cross in gold, Iron Cross 2nd and 1st Class, Infantry Assault Badge in silver, Wound Badge in black, East Medal, Close Combat Clasp in bronze. 
 
The best part of his photo album is a written 6 page story on the winter battle of Rshew. There are four hand painted military maps explaining the battle. 
There are 26 original photos inside. Nearly all show Glück. Many show Glück with his German Cross in gold.
 
There is an original newspaper bit stating that Leutnant Harry Glück was awarded the German Cross in gold for bravery. They say he was fighting from the first day of the war and that he was promoted to an officer because of his outstanding talent as a leader. He was furthermore awarded the Iron Cross 1st and 2nd Class.
 
The large period time Russian map is Glück named! Furthermore two small once which are even more interesting! He painted units and tactical movements on there.
 
An untouched grouping to a highly decorated soldier!
