Heer M36 field tunic

Description

Heer M36 field tunic for a gefreiter. The earliest pattern issued to the Heer was designed with a dark green colour and five buttons.

Breast eagle: Removed
Collar tabs: EM/NCO Woven type with white stripes. Machine-applied period time on a dark green base. Machine-stitched.
Shoulder boards: missing
Lining. Cotton. A size tag is also stitched on the inside, showing the sizes and "J.R. 15 Wi" stamp
Stamps: size, depot and maker "Brago" stamped. Unit stamped "9./ J.R.131 I"
Buttons: Period time attached. Complete.
Sleeve: Gefreiter chevron. Hand-stitched.

The tunic has an extra button for a lanyard on the right shoulder. Two hooks are also inserted in the waist holes for support. The tunic was most probably unworn but had several moth bites and holes. As part of the lot, there's a removable collar liner in green and a tunic-removed iron cross 2nd class ribbon bar.
