Description

Medal Bar consists of the Prussian Iron Cross 2nd Class, 1914, Wuerttemberg, Golden Bravery Medal and so-called Hindenburg Cross.

The Iron Cross 2nd class has a lacquered core and a real silver frame. The Ring is marked “KO” for its manufacturer.

The Golden Bravery medal has its gold content mark on the ring loop for the ribbon ring “333” for 8 ct gold.

The Hindenburg Cross is made from bronzed iron and has the maker mark “G11” impressed on the reverse of the upper arm of the cross.

The Golden Bravery Medal was the highest bravery award to NCO and enlisted men during the great war. Only 3804 golden medals made from 8 ct gold were awarded from 1915-1918.
