Description

Rare Third Reich goblet to Friedhelm Dräger. 

The goblet shows on the front the national eagle and his name "Friedhelm Dräger". On the other side is the inscription "ZUR FREUNDLICHEN ERINNERUNG - DIE MITGLIEDER DES GENERALKONSULATS NEW YORK DEN, 25. MÄRZ 1936" (IN MEMORY - THE MEMBERS OF THE CONSULATE GENERAL NEW YORK, 25. MARCH 1936). The goblet is made of sterling silver. Hallmarked on the bottom and "GORHAM" marked.

Height: 36 cm.

Weight: 872 gr.

Friedhelm Dräger was a high-ranking official during the "Third Reich". On 21. December 1940, he became Consul 1st Class. From 1937 to 1941, he served as NSDAP Kreisleiter of New York County and was also head of the German Consulate in the United States. The office was closed in Juli 1941.

In addition, an eagle table decoration. It depicts a silver-plated eagle (metal) with outspread wings, sitting on a globe. Engraved on the back is "Paris 1944". Mounted on a black marble base. 

Signs of age and the base has two tinny chips.

Size eagle: 16.5x16.5 cm.

Total weight: 2.3 kg 

Friedhelm Dräger served at the German Embassy in Paris from March 1944 to August 1944.
