Description

Grouping to Obergefreiten Albert Balzer serving with Korps-Nachrichten-Abteilung 451. Destroyed in 1943 in Stalingrad. 

Heer Wehrpass "Zweischrift". Issued on 8. June 1943. Original applied photo. Page 12 shows his units. From 21.10.1940 to 29.04.1943 he served with Korps-Nachrichten-Abteilung 451. Balzer fights in Stalingrad! Awards: Westwall Medal, Wound Badge in Black, 1939 Iron Cross 2nd Class, and East Medal. From 29.08.1943 until 02.06.1944 (8 months) he was deployed in anti-partisan combat in the south-eastern region "Bekämfpung der Bandenbewegung im Südostraum". Noted on page 32. On page 46 there is the entry "Neuausfertigung, da Angehöriger der ehem. 6. Armee", signed by a Hauptmann (the Wehrpass had to be reissued because he was a former member of the 6th Army). Three pages have been repaired with tape and page 25/26 is loose. Complete with all the pages. Comes with a Wehrpass cover. "Obgfr. ALBERT BALZER" stamped on the front.

1939 Iron Cross 2nd Class with the original ribbon and ribbon bar. Includes the award certificate. Issued on 14.08.1942. Signed by General der Artillerie Walther von Seydlitz-Kurzbach, Knight's Cross with Oak Leaves winner. It has two holes.

Westwall Medal with the original ribbon and bag of issue. Maker marked on the back of the bag.

Wound Badge in Black.

East Medal with the original ribbon.

"Ausmusterungsschein" ID card. Original photo. Issued to former soldiers who were discharged from the Wehrmacht. Rare to find!

Certificate that he is authorized to wear the armband for disabled soldiers. Albert Balzer was discharged from military service on 28. February 1945 due to severe wounds (therefore unfit for service).
