Description

Visor cap, shoulder boards of the 13th Cavalry Regiment, collar patch, dog tag and copies of documents from Karl Graf von Bassewitz. 

1.) Peaked cap

Original visor cap for cavalry officers with yellow piping.
Textbook officer's chin strap with correct buttons.
Hand embroidered eagle and wreath badge - both sewn by hand.
Cap peak made of black lacquered leather.
The inner lining is made of yellow silk and shows slight signs of wear and age. No celluloid diamond present.
No size stamp.
The brown leather sweatband is undamaged and still soft.
The wearer's initials are stamped on the right side "C.v.B.". 

Fine privately purchased visor cap in good condition. 

2.) Shoulder boards

Original cavalry shoulder boards of a lieutenant which were separated from a uniform.
Aluminum regimental number 13, attached with split pins. 

Good, slightly worn condition. 

3.) Collar tab

Collar tabs for cavalry officers. Hand embroidered.
Very good condition. 

4.) Dog tag

Karl von Bassewitz's dog tag made of aluminum. Normal signs of wear. 

5.) Copies of documents

Documentary legacy in the form of copies, among other things, of the military passport with many entries and photos by Karl von Bassewitz.
