Description
Important grouping of assault gunner Knight's Cross recipient SS-Sturmbannführer d.R. Karl-Heinz Schulz-Streeck. Schulz-Streeck commanded 2./Leichte Sturmgeschütz-Abteilung 912 as a Heer officer before he was assigned to the Waffen-SS to serve as commander of the assault gunner unit SS-Panzerjäger-Abteilung 11 (Division "Nordland").
Soldbuch with original applied photograph in army uniform. The cover has separated however all pages are complete. All swastikas over overpainted. The Soldbuch - issued on 18.1.1943 - is a great source of research and contains all relevant information on this service time. His awards are noted on page 21,22 and on one extra page:
General Assault Badge, Iron Cross 2nd Class, Iron Cross 1st Class, East Medal (awarded by Sturmgeschütz-Abteilung Großdeutschland), Wound Badge in silver, Close Combat Clasp in bronze, Wound Badge in gold, German Cross in gold, Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross.
The Knight's Cross was awarded on 15.2.1945 however the entry to the Soldbuch was made on 2.5.1945 at "Timmendorfer-Strand" on 2.5.1945. According to other entires in his Soldbuch, he spent some time at a military hospital in this area at the end of the war.
The Soldbuch was kept together with his 1934 issued Reichswehr "Militärpaß" and his POW release papers in a Third Reich period time Soldbuch cover.
A stunning Waffen-SS officer's visor cap with original attached aluminum insignia. There are two cloth "Schulz-Streeck" name tag to the cap. One tag hand sewn to the grey silk lining and one the reverse of the sweat-band.
White piping. Correct officer's chin strap attached with two buttons which are hand-sewn to the cap.
The cap comes in great shape and is nicely worn. There is no moth damage. the cap shows several rips/holes which were cause by shell splinters. Notes in his Soldbuch confirm that he was badly wounded by shell splinters, however, the cap was probably in his rucksack when he was hit.
Medals & Awards:
The Knight's Cross, the German Cross as well as his documents were kept in a metal "Knuspergold" case with a label "Orden Vater" (father's medals). Other medals were kept with his insignia in a old (postwar) post package.
1939 Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross in case awarded on 15.2.1945. A textbook example made by Klein & Quenzer. "800" silver stamped to the upper cross arm (reverse) as well as "65" maker marked and "800" silver stamped to the ring. Minor signs of wear. Including a short ribbon worn with the cross. Condition 1.
Two unworn pieces of original ribbon. One 10,5cm long, one 39cm long. Original case of issue in excellent condition. Minor (typical) damage to the silk lining cover the area of the hinge. Black velvet inlay. Textbook example in condition 1.
A clear shadow of the Knight's Cross visible to the silk lining.
German Cross in gold awarded in August 1944 in unworn condition made by Zimmermann. "20" maker marked to the reverse of the pin.
Excellent finish to the front side. Textbook example which however shows damage to the silver finish of the back-plate.
A typical damage for cupal when being stored on a wet place. The finish sort of blows up.
Weight: 47,5gr.
Textbook case of issue in matching condition. No signs of use. The iron hinge shows much rust which separated the top from the bottom part.
1957 Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross. Worn. Good condition 2. Unmarked. Made by Steinhauer & Lück. Iron core.
1939 Iron Cross 2nd Class with ribbon. Unmarked. It comes with one extra long ribbon (unworn) and two shirt ribbons. One of them was worn on his uniform and comes with metal swords attached.
1939 Iron Cross 1st Class by Steinhauer & Lück. 65 maker marked. Clearly worn. Good condition 2.
Excellent unmarked East Medal in maker marked bag of issue. Including several unworn ribbons and one ribbon he had worn on this uniform.

Textbook General Assault Badge "25" by Josef Feix, Söhne. JFS maker marked to the reverse. Multi-piece construction. Zinc.
Condition 2+.
Beautiful tombak General Assault Badge. Hollow constructed. Condition 1. Lovely silver finish.
Close Combat Clasp in bronze and silver. Both clearly worn with great patina. The silver clasp was made by Juncker, Berlin. Maker marked. Catch missing. Bronze clasp made by Friedrich Linden. FLL maker marked. Slightly corroded.
Excellent Wound Badge in gold. Tombak. 30 maker marked. Slightly worn condition 1-
SA Sport's Badge in bronze and NSDAP membership badge with clipper. RZM M1/120 marked. Both in good condition.

Pair of Waffen-SS Panzer shoulder boards for an SS-Sturmbannführer.
Silk piping. Signs of wear. No damage. Nice condition.
A rare pair of Waffen-SS "flat-wire" officer's collar tabs for SS-Sturmbannführer. Minor corrosion. Very good condition. Probably never worn.
Excellent hand-embroidered Waffen-SS officer's sleeve eagle. Worn. Beautiful example.
Cupal Waffen-SS visor cap eagle. Excellent silver finish. RZM M1/8 marked. One prong missing.
Aluminum Waffen-SS visor cap skull with both prongs in place. RZM 499/41 marked. Excellent.
Waffen-SS officer's skull (cloth) for a sidecap. "Flat-wire". Worn. Excellent condition. No corrosion.
Two "old comrade" sleeve chevron. Worn. Condition 2. No corrosion.
One pair of worn artillery officer's collar tabs as well as a excellent unworn officer's breast eagle. Zinc visor cap cockade and cap eagle.
Wehrmacht gas plane bag without signs of use. PRYM 6 marked buttons. Traces of a removed cloth label visible.
Extremely rare grouping of a SS assault gunner and Knight's Cross recipient.
