Description
Never worn Heer officer's 1st pattern Infanterie visor cap. A so-called "crusher cap" with flexible leather visor cap. The official Wehrmacht title was "Feldmütze alter Art".
 
100% original attached machine-woven officer's cap eagle and wreath badge. Attached by hand. White piping. Silk lining with intact celluloid lining and an "Erstklassig" mark printed to the liner. Sweat-band with no signs of wear however rather hard.
 
What is really special is a small instruction tag to remove the inner metal stabilizing ring saying:
"Vor dem Tragen ziehe man an diesem Band den Lager-Bügel heraus! Die Form bleibt wetterfest!" In short: "Removable stabilizing ring before wearing".
 
Minor mothing and therefore condition 2.
No signs of wear!
