Rare Third Reich NSDAP enamel sign: STÜTZPUNKT Mussenhausen. Mussenhausen is located in Schwaben and is a very small village with only 250 people living there today. It must have been even smaller during the Third Reich.
The sign is in very nice condition. No cracks or repairs. A very small (2mm) chip to the left lower corner. I nearly missed it because it is that small. It is C.ROBERT DOLD. OFFENBURG i.B. FERRO - Email 1935 maker marked and dated.
These shields were mounted on the wall of a NSDAP building below the "Hoheitsschild" (enamel NSDAP sign with eagle). Stützpunkt was the smallest unit of an NSDAP. All Stützpunkte were upgraded and reformed into Ortsgruppen in the later 1930s.
