Both photos were taken during a visit of Walter Nowotny to JG 106 in Lachen-Speyersdorf in March 1944. One photo shows Nowotny together with Oberleutnant Doje. The other photo (sitting in the aircraft) shows him with Oberfeldwebel Dilling (German Cross in Gold winner, JG 3).
Size each: 11x7 cm.
Walter Nowotny was awarded the Knight's Cross with Oak Leaves, Swords, and Diamonds. He was credited with 258 aerial victories. Killed in action on 8.11.1944 near Bramsche.
