Awarded with 1939 War Merit Cross 2nd Class with swords, East Medal, Wound Badge in silver and 1939 Iron Cross 2nd Class. Noted on page 21, 23 and 38. Interesting Eastern Front campaign list from 28.11.1940 until 31.10.1942. He was involved in the "Kesselschlacht" Battle of Białystok–Minsk from 22.6. to 10.7.1941 as well as in the battles of the 9.
