Very nice painting of a Lufwaffe flying troops Oberst by Franz Kienmayer.
Oil on canvas. Fine to see a part of the cuffband "Jagdgeschwader Frhr. v. Richthofen" as well as his awards. Artist's signature "F. Kienmayer". Period time wooden frame. "Brugger" named as well as marked to the reverse.
Franz Kienmayer was a well-known German-Austrian painter. In 1937, he exhibited his works in the art exhibition in Munich "Die Große Deutschen Kunst-Ausstellung München".
