Extremely rare document grouping to SS-Rottenführer Hans-Jochen Schumann serving with SS-Fallschirmjäger-Bataillon 600.

The bataillon was formed in October 1944 with the rest of the 90 soldiers of the SS-Fallschirmjäger-Bataillon 500. Already in the middle of October the 600's was involved in the "Operation Panzerfaust" in Hungary. In November another 1000 soldiers were incorporated and attached to Otto Skorzeny's Panzerbrigade 150. During the last months of the war, the SS-Bataillon 600 was involved in "Operation Greif" and the Ardennes offensive. At the beginning of May 1945, the bataillon capitulated.
