Scarce December 1939 dated KdF--Wagen-Sparkarte (savings ID card) to Th.Rathgeber who ordered a KdF-Wagen. The color of the card was supposed to be blue-grey. He ordered it with "Faltdach" (convertible). Inside the card was the original receipt confirming he paid 791 RM for the card. A scarce 10.12.1939 card confirmed he will receive the car with the production number 4659.
To our information, the production number was only forwarded when the payment was received in full. According to the fact that no private KdF card was ever delivered, he must be one of the very few who paid in full before they stopped the production at the beginning of WW2.
