An extremely rare Bavarian Pionier fascine knife 71.
It comes with a 48 cm long saw-back blade. The maker's mark and the acceptance mark on the back of the blade are no longer illegible. Signs of age and pitting.
A solid brass handle with an iron crossguard. Leather scabbard with brass fittings. It has a period time repair in the leather. "B.E.A.1.90" stamped on the upper fitting. Several acceptance marks on the handle and the scabbard fittings.
