Description

Excellent document grouping to Unteroffizier Herbert Bernsteiner serving with Sturmgeschütz-Abteilung 185.

Certificate to 1939 Iron Cross 2nd Class. Issued on 22.01.1943. Hand-signed by a Generalleutnant.

Certificate to 1939 Iron Cross 1st Class. Issued on 14.11.1943. Hand-signed by Generalmajor Rudolf Stegmann, Knight's Cross winner.

Certificate to Wound Badge in Black. Issued on 11.09.1943. Hand-signed by a Hauptmann.

Certificate to Wound Badge in Silver. Issued on 27.10.1944. Hand-signed by an Obststabsarzt.

Certificate to Infantry Assault Badge in Silver. Issued on 19.02.1943. Hand-signed by Hauptmann Horst Krafft, Knight's Cross winner. However, we assume it was for the General Assault Badge.

Certificate to Heer Driver Proficiency Badge in Bronze. Issued on 13.01.1943. Hand-signed by Hauptmann Fritz Gloßner, German Cross in Gold winner.

Four documents about his "Sturmtage" assaults from 25.11.1942 to 07.07.1944. The last list is dated "02.08.1944" and shows a total of 41 assault days. It can therefore be assumed that Uffz. Bernsteiner was awarded the General Assault Badge for 25 assault days and possibly also for 50 assault days.

Five excellent Sturmgeschütz portrait and group photos. Postcard size.

Including some period documents and postwar documents. Among them is an address list of members of the Sturmgeschütz-Brigade 185.

A few documents were hand-signed by Oberleutnant (Hauptmann) Anton Wickelmaier.
