Grouping to Knights Cross recipient Horst Zobel (1918-1999). Zobel served as a Hauptmann during WW2 and was awarded the Knights Cross on 14.4.1945 as commander of a Panzerabteilung in Panzer-Division Müncheberg.

Zobel survived the war and served in the Bundeswehr with several tank units from 1956 until 1977. His last rank was Oberst.

Zobel joined Panzer-Regiment 6 on 1.10.1936 and was part of the Sudetenland Campaign. He served in Poland, France and Russia. He was awarded the Knights Cross for bravery during a battle near Golzow-Tuchband on 22./23.3.1945. Zobel was also part of the battle of Berlin in 1945. Zobel was not only awarded the Knigths Cross but also the Tank Assault Badge in silver 25.

Please see the very last picture for a photo of Zobel taken during WW2.

There are two tunics, his coat, his sidecap and two black Panzer Baretts. Also two cravats. The original 1957 ribbon bars which identify him as a Knights Cross recipient. There are several papers, awards and decorations. All 100% belonged to Horst Zobel.

There are tailors labels one of his tunics and his coat. One is named to him as an Oberstleutnant which dates back to April 1965. The other one is 1960 dated and named to him as a Major. The Baretts are named, too.
