Oberarzt Dr.Weissensee - Medal grouping

Beschreibung
This lot belonged to Oberarzt (Oberleutnant) Dr. Günther Weissensee serving with I./Gren.Rgt.438. He was awarded the Krim Shield and the Iron Cross 1st Class. His father was a high ranking official. We sold his grouping containing two original Adolf Hitler signatures lately (https://www.ratisbons.com/Auctions-archive/3rd-Contemporary-History-Auction/Original-Adolf-Hitler-signatures-grouping-to-Chr-Weisensee.html). All items came of the family and were not in collectors hands before.

Nice Krim Shield and Iron Cross 2nd Class award documents. A nice March 1942 dated letter sent from "DER STAATSSEKRETÄR IM REICHSFINANZMINISTERIUM" to Dr. Weisssee. He congratulates to the awarding of the 1939 Iron Cross 1st Class. By the text we know it is a friend of his high ranking father. They must have worked together. Furthermore his DRK ID card for serving as a "Truppenarzt".

Heer shooting lanyard, his Krim Shield, his DRL Sports Badge in bronze, a very fine 1939 Iron Cross 2nd Class with ribbon, his personal dog tag and a nice pair of Oberleutnant (Oberarzt) shoulder boards. Finally his 1939 Iron Cross 1st Class in case, a nicely worn magnetic example. Unmarked. Nice condition 2. There is a postwar tinny part of the grouping. It looks similar to the Krim Shield and says Kurland to the top. It is a rare postwar 132 Inf.Div. veterans association badge which is really hard to find! A proof Weissensee survived the war!

Nice grouping to a highly decorated doctor!
