This item belonged to Oberarzt (Oberleutnant) Dr. Günther Weissensee serving with I./Gren.Rgt.438. He was awarded the Krim Shield and the Iron Cross 1st Class. His father was a high ranking official. We sold his grouping containing two original Adolf Hitler signatures lately (https://www.ratisbons.com/Auctions-archive/3rd-Contemporary-History-Auction/Original-Adolf-Hitler-signatures-grouping-to-Chr-Weisensee.html). All items came of the family and were not in collectors hands before.
Hauptbesteck 1939. Scarce main kit! Original metal case full of surgical instruments, needles, suture clips, etc... Glass items still intact! We have not checked all items on the inventory list which is still inside but this set looks pretty much complete and untouched. Very heavy!
